Maiko Dinner
We offer a 2-hour candid traditional Japanese kaiseki dinner experience in a close company of a maiko (apprentice geisha) or geiko (geisha). Reservations are required as the dates and starting times are fixed. It is possible to reserve a last-minute seat until 4 PM each day.
Our service combines all aspects of the traditional Japanese entertainment and our guests can get an accurate insight into the real culture of Kyoto. The maiko and geiko are unofficial ambassadresses of everything Japanese. Here at our venues, you can enjoy not only their classical dance performances tailored with a coherent explanation of their culture but also a close interaction and conversation with them. Moreover, we provide a kaiseki dinner course along with an all-you-can-drink option (sake, beer, and soft drinks). The meals are supplied by Oryori Iden, a renowned restaurant with a century-long history. Our drinks are produced by carefully selected local ingredients.
Please kindly consider that this maiko and geiko dinner experience is shared with other guests. A description of a private dinner is HERE.
